This engagement shoot had me reminiscing all the way back to my childhood. When I first met Krissy, she mentioned having her engagement session down in Onset near her dad's house. I found that funny because I spent every single summer in Onset at my dad's house. After explaining where my dad's house is, she laughed and said "we're neighbors!" Her dad's house is literally two streets away from my dad's house. What an unbelievably small world!
We shot on the beach at the end of my father's street, which is directly across the water from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. I spent every summer on this beach as a child. From swimming, to boating, to jet skiing, I did it all at that beach and have so many amazing memories with my family down there. Needless to say, having the opportunity to photograph on this beach got me all kinds of excited! I couldn't wait for their shoot!! In similar fashion to my last blog, it was raining all day long before the shoot but Krissy had been down at her dad's and said it wasn't raining down there - it was just overcast. Soft, beautiful, overcast goodness makes me (and my camera) happy! I knew this engagement session was going to be perfect.
Krissy and Peter are such a beautiful couple and I could immediately tell how completely in love they are with each other. As the shoot went on (and the champagne may or may not have flowed - OK it definitely flowed!), everyone really loosened up and we had such a fun time together. We were even able to capture some pretty epic skies on the Cape Cod Canal!
Krissy and Peter are getting married at the gorgeous Sapphire Estate next June and to say I'm excited would be an understatement!! I'd love for you to check out their FULL gallery here to see how beautiful these two are! If you like these photos and want to see more photos from Krissy and Peter's wedding in the future, please head over to my Facebook Page and give it a "Like."
Thanks and enjoy :)
