Anthony Niccoli Photography is a documentary wedding studio based just south of the city. We photograph weddings all over Boston — hotel suites in Back Bay, ceremonies across town, portraits in the Seaport and along the harbor.

A Boston wedding day moves. Getting ready in a hotel suite, a ceremony across town, portraits somewhere in between — the day has more locations and more transitions than almost any other kind of wedding we photograph. Our documentary approach is built for exactly that. We photograph what's actually happening rather than staging it, and we know when to pause the day for twenty unhurried minutes of portraits.
A couple in the Seaport with the skyline stacked behind them, evening light on the harbor at Christopher Columbus Park, quiet frames along the Charles — every neighborhood reads differently on camera, and we plan portraits around the light each one gets.

We've photographed weddings at The Lenox, The Newbury, the Boston Marriott Long Wharf, the State Room and Venezia, a celebration at Alden Castle in Brookline, and full days that moved through the Liberty Hotel, Boston City Hall and Boston College along the way. Every one of those buildings photographs differently, and that variety is a big part of why we love working in this city.
City weddings run on tight timelines — shuttles, church schedules, a reception on the other side of town. We build the photography timeline with every couple in advance, so the day has room to breathe and the portraits never feel like a race between locations.
