Emily + Joel's Wedding

June 18, 2016

What can I say about Emily and Joel? For starters, these two are an absolute BLAST to hang out with - never mind how much fun they are to photograph. In a previous blog post, I wrote about Emily and Joel's engagement session and how I went to high school with Emily and college with Joel. I guess you could say we "go way back" and it's always such an immense pleasure to photograph a friend's wedding.

Emily looked undeniably stunning on her wedding day and her beautiful green eyes were radiating all day. I could tell how excited she was to marry her best friend. The incredibly talented Sarah, from Making You Glow, and her awesome team of professionals knocked all of the bridesmaids' hair and makeup out of the park. To say Emily and all her bridesmaids looked flawless would be an understatement! Of course, Joel and his groomsmen looked as dapper as ever.

Emily and Joel had the first wedding ever at Olde Scotland Links in Bridgewater and it was SO much fun. Everything went off without a hitch - from the live band, to the delicious food, to the awesome ice sculptures of Emily and Joel's adorable dogs, their wedding night was truly a night to remember.

I hope you have as much fun looking at these photos as I had shooting them! If you'd like to check out their ENTIRE gallery (and you totally should!) please click here.

Lex & Cam's Wequassett Wedding

May 21, 2016

I arrived early to Lex and Cam's wedding at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club to find Lex doing handstands! Not something I see every time I walk in to photograph a wedding, but I knew at that moment this wedding was going to be special.

Although the day was overcast, I assured Lex that overcast skies make for the best photography and the most flattering, beautiful light. Sure, we most likely wouldn't get to see a sunset but it's worth it for how even and natural the light is on cloudy days. The outdoor ceremony overlooking the water was breathtaking and we were able to capture some amazing formal portraits of everyone. Some of the ladies even had some incredibly interesting dance moves (the "windshield wiper" and "binoculars" come to mind) which helped get everyone laughing.

The entire wedding party (guests included) were so laidback and easy going - it really made my job easy and that much more enjoyable (as if it wasn't enjoyable enough already!). I had an extraordinarily fun day photographing the love between Lex and Cam and I wish them many years of happiness!
